If Adobe Reader is properly installed it works as a "plug-in" within your web browser. For Example you will see Acrobat load as a plug-in while you are still inside your browser window. If Acrobat loads as an "external viewer," (and then asks permission to download the document/file to your computer), then the software is not properly installed as a browser plug-in and hyperlinks within VCCS .PDF documents may not work as intended. You can fix this problem by re-installing Acrobat Reader software. You will know if Acrobat Reader is installed as a plug-in if you see a new (acrobat) toolbar appear within your browser window when you click on a .pdf file.
